PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a coating liquid for an electrophotographic photoreceptor by which whether the dispersed state of the coating liquid is normal or abnormal can be immediately judged in situ without diluting the coating liquid, and to provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor using this method. SOLUTION: In the method for controlling a coating liquid for an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing at least a resin and a pigment, dielectric dispersion measurement of the coating liquid is carried out and the dispersed state of the coating liquid concerned with phase separation is controlled using dielectric relaxation intensity obtained by the measurement. In the method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor, at least one of a photosensitive layer and an undercoat layer is formed on a conductive substrate by dip coating with a coating liquid for an electrophotographic photoreceptor controlled by the method.
