摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate restrictions due to an encoder in selecting a motor to be combined with a wave-motion-gear type speed reducing unit. SOLUTION: A driving mechanism 1 is composed of the wave-motion-gear type speed reducing unit 2 and a DC motor 3. The encoder 8 is arranged so as to face to the tip end of a hollow output shaft 7 projecting from the output side of the wave-motion-gear type speed reducing unit 2. The encoder 8 is attached to a unit case 4 by means of a bracket 15. The rotary shaft 8a of the encoder 8 is connected to a wave-motion generator 13 by means of a connecting shaft 16 extending from the hollow portion 7a of the hollow output shaft 7 passing through it. Because the wave-motion generator 13 is connected to the output shaft 3a of the DC motor 3, rotational information such as a rotation angle of the output shaft of the DC motor can be detected by means of the encoder 8.
