There are provided a wire harness assembling method capable of suppressing increase of labor and the number of steps and a wire harness. A wire harness includes a plurality of sub-harnesses. Each of the sub-harnesses has an electric cable. An external surface of the electric cable has a mark for displaying a sub-harness product number indicating the product number of the sub-harness. In step S1, a mark for displaying the sub-harness product number is formed on the electric cable, the electric cable is cut off, and a terminal metal fitting is attached. In step S2, electric cables are classified according to the mark for displaying the sub-harness product number. In step S3, a sub-harness is assembled. in step S4, a wire harness is assembled. |
