The device for the sealing of a formed film tubing has movable welding jaws (3,4) with each jaw carrier (6,7) connected to additional supports (10,11) by a thrust connection (8,9). A rotatable connection (13) is provided between the additional supports, and a lever (22) is connected through an additional joint (23) and a connecting piece (24) to the one (15) of the rotational joints of the connection. The connecting piece represents a mechanical extension of the part of the connection which extends between the rotational point (12) of the connection and the connection's rotational joint.
