The invention relates to a construction machine engine room construction and a construction machine cooling device, wherein in order to discharge cooling air after passing through a cooling package (24), discharge openings (22a, 22b) are formed in the upper and lower wall surfaces (22, 23), respectively, with respect to a machine body wall surface (21) forming an engine room (2B), of these discharge openings (22a, 22b), at least the discharge opening (22a) in the upper wall surface (22) being disposed in the outer periphery of a cooling fan (25), a cooling air deflecting member (22b) attached to the outside of the upper wall surface (22) in such a manner as to cover the discharge opening (22a) in the upper wall surface (22) and adapted to deflect the cooling air discharged from the discharge opening (22a) so as to discharge it horizontally, the arrangement being such that the centrifugally discharged cooling air is smoothly discharged outside the machine through the discharge opening (22a) disposed in the outer periphery of the cooling fan (25), thereby improving the efficiency of discharge of cooling air.
