An engine room structure of and a cooling device of a construction machine. A cooling wind discharge duct (32) is attached to the outside of a machine body wall surface (21) so as to cover a cooling wind discharge opening (22a) provided in an engine room (2B). Further, the dimensions and position of the cooling wind discharge duct (32) with respect to an axial flow direction (Y) of a cooling fan (25) are set so as to cover an engine (26) and a muffler (26a) with respect to the axial flow direction (Y). Engine sound and radiation noise from the muffler (26a) are effectively shielded by two wall surfaces of the machine body wall surface (21) and the duct wall surface, and as a result, noise is remarkably reduced.
