<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, to the highest possible degree, developer discharged from a container main body from leaking in undesirable areas. <P>SOLUTION: The developer storage container includes: the container main body 31 that is cylindrical in shape, has a discharging hole 43 for discharging developer, and axially rotates to convey the stored developer towards the discharging hole 43; a support member 32 that circumferentially entirely covers from radially outside a portion including at least the discharging hole 43, supports the container main body 31 so that the main body is free to axially rotate, and has a first support projection 58 that projects radially inwards at least at one end in the axial direction and extends over the entire circumference; and a sealing member 47 with an abutting part 47b that is wrapped round the container main body 31 and springingly abuts on the first support projection 58 of the support member 32 over the entire circumference in the axial direction. The sealing member 47 is provided with a scraping part 97 with which developer intruding between the outer circumferential part and the inner circumferential part 48 of the support member 32 is scraped towards the discharging hole 43. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
