<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sintered body having a structure of NaxA<SB>2</SB>Oy (where A represents Co, Fe, Ni, Cu and Mn, and 1≤x≤2 and 2≤y≤4) whose C axis is oriented in one direction and which is preferable for a thermoelectric conversion material. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an oriented sintered body of sodium containing metal oxide comprises: a step of dispersion wherein a slurry is formed by uniformly dispersing at least one kind of transition metal compound powder selected from oxides, hydroxides or carbonates which contain at least one kind of transition metal selected from a group consisting of Co, Fe, Ni, Cu and Mn, into an aqueous solution of at least one kind of sodium compound selected from carbonates, bicarbonates or hydroxides; a step of drying wherein a mixed powder is obtained by dehydrating the slurry obtained in the previous step; and a step of baking wherein a sintered body is obtained by subjecting the mixed powder obtained in the previous step to heat treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
