<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid material capable of making an opening formed by the first-stage peeling larger than by the second-stage peeling by peeling the lid material stuck to a mouth of a container in two stages. <P>SOLUTION: The lid material comprises an outer lid, an intermediate lid and an inner lid which are peelably laminated, and has a first tab and a second tab along the outer periphery. The intermediate and inner lids have a first start-to-peel cut formed inside the first tab and a first opening cut inside the first start-to-peel cut. The inner lid has a second start-to-peel cut formed inside the second tab and a second opening cut inside the second start-to-peel cut to surround the first opening cut. A first mold release layer is formed on the internal surface of the outer lid except regions outside the first start-to-peel cut and inside the first opening cut.
