<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drying a basidiomycete, by which the basidiomycete can efficiently be dried in a short time in an industrial scale, while maintaining the physiological activity of the basidiomycete, and to provide a method for drying and crushing the basidiomycete. <P>SOLUTION: This method for drying the basidiomycete comprises a process for lyophilizing the basidiomycete at a control temperature of 35 to 65°C.
