<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly retrieve information desired by a user of a vehicle, and to quickly provide the information to its occupant. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant (user) of the vehicle, in which an in-vehicle apparatus 1 is mounted calls an information center 20 and tells an operator of the information center 20 information which he desires to be provided. The operator retrieves information which the user wants using an information retrieval system 34, and transmits it to the in-vehicle apparatus.
