<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for a musical instrument, which is suitable for a case for strings such as a classic guitar, is light in weight, has high heat insulation property and cushoning action, can protect the instrument from humidity, temperature and an impact in carrying and storage, can prevent change in timbre and deterioration in sound quality, can prevent the instrument from being damaged, can rationalize, smoothen and stabilize the opening/clozing operation between a case body and a cover, can incresde the sealing property in the case, can constitute a pocket in the case body rationally to effectivelt utilize a case body space and prevent from pressing or contacting with the surface or frame of the instrument as much as possible, can prevent the change of timbre and the deterioration of sound quality, and can safely carry and store the instrument. <P>SOLUTION: In the case for the musical instrument, the case body 2 for storing the instrument is conneced turnably to the cover 3 capable of opening/closing the case body 2. Heat insulation boards 22, 23 are stuck onto the outer ircumference surface of the case body 2 and the cover 3 through spacers 18-21.
