<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sense of anxiety about a blind spot by providing a synthesized image for a blind spot region around a vehicle, and to enable a driver to easily grasp the position relation between the vehicle and surrounding obstacles through an image by generating the image picked up from a position close to a visual point of the driver. <P>SOLUTION: A visual point of an image A0 captured with a blind spot camera which is provided outside of a car body, is converted into an image in the case of photographing at the visual point position of the driver, to generate a converted external image A2, a visual point image B0 is acquired with a driver visual point camera which is provided closely to the visual point position of the driver, to generate a visible region image B1 in which the blind spot region is excluded from the visual point image B0. The converted external image A2 is composed with the visible region image B1 to obtain the synthetic image in which the blind spot region part is compensated.
