PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack for instantaneously reading the identification code information of a rack and identification code information of two or more works stored in a rack with the works still stored in the rack, and managing the respective works accurately in relation to what place on the rack the work is stored in.

SOLUTION: At least one readable/writable storage medium storing the information on the small-sized containers stored in the rack and the information for identifying the rack is installed in this storing/transporting rack storing two or more small-sized container.
