AUTOMATIC DRAFT FEEDER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS EMPLOYING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic draft feeder adopting the sheet-through method for reducing occurrence of jitter and color slurring due to speed variations at a read position when a tip of a draft intrudes into a pickup guide after the moment when the tip is in contact with the pickup guide. SOLUTION: The pickup guide 60 is configured with one component integrally provided with a read glass part 60c equivalent to read glass and a pickup guide unit 60b equivalent to a pickup guide part to reduce the number of components. No member for supporting a joint of two components exists, the read position 56 is very closely deposited to a position of a slope start point 60a of the pickup guide unit and a point when jitter and color slurring take place can be brought to an extreme tip part of an image depending on a distance between the slope start point 60a of the pickup guide 60 and the read position 56.
