PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable Nb3Sn superconducting wire without dispersing Sn in a Cu stabilizer in formation heat treatment of Nb3Sn in manufacturing a Nb3Sn compound superconducting wire. SOLUTION: The Nb3Sn compound superconducting wire is manufactured by arranging and combining a superconductive composite material 11 containing Nb, Cu and Sn, a diffusion preventing material 12 surrounding this and the stabilizer therearound, and then decreasing in cross section and heat treating.
