PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent appearance in a state where a lens part is covered with a cover member and also to accurately protect the front side of an apparatus body by the cover member. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with a plate cover member 8 covering over nearly an entire front surface 3 and freely moving obliquely downward along the front surface 3 on a camera body 2, and is constituted so that the cover member 8 is moved to a covering position C where it covers over a lens part 6 and a stroboscope part 4 and an exposure position E where it projects obliquely downward from the camera body 2 so as to expose the lens part 6 and the stroboscope part 4.
