PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freezing method and a freezer in which a frozen state of a frozen object successively used for the succeeding process can be equalized to the utmost. SOLUTION: The frozen object is frozen as follows. It is moved in a hung and immersed state into a freezing tank from the above, in which a freezing coolant cooled by a freezing machine is stored, in a distance between from an immersion position for immersing the object into the coolant to a release position for releasing the frozen object from the coolant.
