The invention relates to an assembly comprising a wheel (1) and a tubeless tyre (2) for a motor vehicle, which is intended to indicate the level of wear of the tyre. According to the invention, the tyre (2) comprises at least one light ray-conducting optical element (4) which passes through the tread (3) and the wall (B) of the tyre and which can introduce a light flux into the inner volume of the tyre, said light flux being dependent on tyre wear. Moreover, a light ray detector (11) is installed inside the inner volume of the tyre and can emit a wear-indicating signal in response to the light flux. |
