<p>An object of the invention is to provide a heat-resistant, bonded type resin-made optical element capable of withstanding heat cycle tests. An optical element comprising a substrate (5), and a resin layer (4) formed on at least one surface of the substrate (5), wherein the resin layer (4) comprises a thicker portion (4a) disposed inside the resin layer (4) and having an optical element formed therein, and a thinner portion (4b) formed around the thicker portion (4a). It has been found that thinning the outer peripheral portion of the resin layer (4) ensures that if a force applied to the substrate (5) from the outer peripheral portion of the resin layer (4) is reduced, the substrate (5) can be prevented from cracking. That is, by making the outer peripheral portion of the resin layer (4) thinner than the inner portion thereof, heat resistance can be improved.</p> |
