High-affinity oligonucleotide ligands to secretory phospholipase a2(spla2)

Methods are described for the identification and preparation of high-affinity nucleic acid ligands to human secretory phospholipase A2(sPLA2) and human immunodeficiency virus type-1 GAG (HIV-1 GAG). Included in the invention are specific RNA ligands to sPLA2 and HIV-1 GAG identified by the SELEX method. Also included are high-affinity modified RNA ligands and ssDNA ligands to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).
