METHOD FOR BONDING NANOTUBES IN ARRANGED STATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of difficulty to bond nanotubes in an arranged state on a substrate.

SOLUTION: In a chamber where carbon nanotube powder is enclosed, voltage is applied between electrode substrates, so that the powder is scattered by electrostatic force along the direction of a generated electric force line. The nanotubes are thus put to reach the substrate in a perpendicularly standing state to the substrate along the electric force line. The nanotubes are thus bonded to the substrate in an arranged state.
