摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly converge an engine speed in a target idle speed; and to attain early activation of an emission control catalyst, in idle operation just after starting an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The engine speed is brought near to the target idle speed from time just after starting, and ignition timing correction quantity ADVHOS is calculated, and the ignition timing ADV is calculated and controlled by adding the ignition timing correction quantity ADVHOS to the basic ignition timing TADV in an idle state. After the engine speed Ne is converged in the target idle speed, an output variation in the engine is detected, and the basic ignition timing TADV is corrected, so that the output variation is brought near to an allowable limit value, and the exhaust gas temperature is raised by sufficiently retarding the ignition timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
