PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint, capable of reducing slide resistance over a further wide range, by further increasing the moving distance of an inner ring. SOLUTION: This constant velocity universal joint has a retainer 36 for forming an outside surface side first spherical surface 44 and an inner surface side second spherical surface 46 having the curvature center (A, and B) offset by an equal distance to both sides of an intersection C with a ball central surface on a joint shaft 48, and a slide ring 38 interposed between the inner ring 30 and the retainer 36. A cylindrical surface part 56 for contacting with a projecting cylindrical surface part 40 of the inner ring 30, is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the slide ring 38. A third spherical surface 54 for contacting with the second spherical surface 46 of the retainer 36, is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the slide ring 38. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
