PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk unit capable of surely performing ejection operation suitable for a medium disk to be ejected. SOLUTION: The disk unit 10 includes a tray transfer mechanism for causing a tray for mounting the medium disk 12 thereon to automatically perform ejection operation. A property acquiring part 30 acquires the physical property of the medium disk transferred to the loading position, and a profile acquiring part 32 acquires an ejection operation profile of the tray 14 according to the physical property of the medium disk 12, and a tray control part 22 controls the tray transfer mechanism on the basis of the acquired ejection operation profile. As a result, the ejection operation profile corresponding to the physical property of the medium disk 12 is automatically acquired, the tray transfer mechanism is controlled, and an optimal ejection operation is automatically performed for each of the medium disks 12.
