摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the shape of a spot at the screen edge on a high-definition television screen. SOLUTION: This electron gun for a cathode ray tube comprises an electron-emitting cathode K, a first electrode G1 and a second electrode G2 for forming an electron beam, prefocusing electron lenses G3, G4 and G5, first quadripolar devices G7 and G8 electrically controlled in a dynamic manner in synchronism with the screen scan so as to correct beam focusing defects at the screen edge, and main electron lenses G8-G9 making it possible to focus the electron beam onto a screen, which are aligned in series along an axis XX'. The electron gun also comprises second quadripolar devices G5, G6 and G7 situated between the prefocusing electron lenses G3, G4 and the first quadripolar devices and comprising electrodes G5, G6 and G7 having generally rectangular apertures. The apertures of G5 and G7 are parallel, and the aperture of G6 is orthogonal to those of G5 and G7. The electrodes G5 and G7 are placed at a fixed polarization potential, and the electrode G6 is at a polarization potential varying in synchronism with the screen scan. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
