PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the deflective strength of superfine cemented carbide for coping with the fine diameter of a drill or the like as its main application. SOLUTION: In the superfine cemented carbide in which the mean grain size of WC is≤0.8μm, the mean grain size of bonding phase grains is≤200μm. By adopting the constitution, the soundness in the grain boundary of the bonding phase is improved, and can be improved to a level free from influence on its deflective strength. Thus, the further improvement of the deflective strength and the reduction of variation are realized, so that the service life of a fine-diameter tool can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
