PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set an operation for a spectrum analyzer. SOLUTION: The spectrum analyzer receives a measuring object signal. A display screen of a display 28 in the spectrum analyzer displays the measuring object signal, using a measured value (power) of the measuring object signal as an ordinate and a frequency as an abscissa. A touch panel is provided further in the display screen of the display 28. When a user of the spectrum analyzer touches one point 32a (f0, P0) on the display screen, peak search is carried out to detect the maximum value in the measured values of the measuring object signal, as to a range in the vicinity of the point 32a (frequencies f1-f2, powers P1-P2), (on the condition that f1=f0-Δf, f2=f0+Δf, P1=P0-ΔP, P2=P0+ΔP).
