PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the poor-convenience problem that high temperature water is supplied into a bathtub when pushing a high temperature bath refilling switch in misunderstanding or error in the state of the bathtub being empty and a bathtub adapter with a high temperature water shut-off function is shut off to stop high temperature bath refilling operation but a user cannot identify information for the shut-off of the bathtub adapter. SOLUTION: In this bath water heater, hot water is filled into the bathtub 8 through the bathtub adapter 9 with the high temperature water shut-off function by the operation of a bath filling switch 23a of a remote control 22 and high temperature water is supplied into the bathtub 8 therethrough by the operation of the high temperature bath refilling switch 24a of the remote control 22. During supplying the high temperature water into the bathtub 8, when a flow sensor 10 provided in a bath hot water supply pipe 12 detects that the amount per second of high temperature water flowing into the bathtub is a certain value or smaller, a user message "U1" showing the shut-off operation of the bathtub adapter 9 with the high temperature water shut-off function is displayed on the remote control 22.
