PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kotatu excellent in usability by enabling the confirmation of current-carrying stop to an electric heater by a user-free detection by a human body sensor even if a user does not look in a heating space to confirm the state of the electric heater to avoid a wrong determination by the user. SOLUTION: This electric kotatu 1 comprises the human body sensor 13 for detecting the presence of the user in the heating space A of the kotatu, and the infrared sensor 13d of the human body sensor 14 detects the infrared ray emitted from a human body in the heating space A, thereby detecting the presence of the user. When the infrared incident quantity is not changed continuously for a predetermined time, the absence of the user is determined, and the current-carrying to the electric heater 5, a blower 4, and the like on a load side to stop the heating.
