PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper device of an elevator, coping with a change in projection dimension of an available vehicle 11 without reducing the effective area of a car floor 5 unnecessarily by operating a bumper 21 in a suitable place corresponding to the projection dimension in the longitudinal direction from a wheel 11a of the vehicle 11 loaded in a car 4. SOLUTION: Bumpers 21, the longitudinal directions of which are turned to the direction parallel to a car door 7, are provided near the entrance of the car floor 5 in two or more lines from the car door 7 side toward the innermost part, and out of the bumpers 21, a distance required for inhibiting collision of the vehicle 11 and the car door 7 is spaced from the car door 7, and the bumper 21 located on the most car door 7 side and set in a suitable place is operated according to the opening and closing of the car door 7.
