PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interior part for an automobile whereby the impact can be relieved by an impact absorbing pad while delineating a curve near an ideal. SOLUTION: When an impact absorbing pad 20 is attached on a back surface of the door trim body 1 as an interior part body, a pad housing and holding part 10 for housing and holding a mounting part 21 of the impact absorbing pad 20 is formed on the back surface of the door trim body 1, and a buckling deformation part by a through hole 12b on an upper wall part 12 constituting the pad housing and holding part 10 and a through groove 12c on a side wall pat 12a is provided.
