PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a runflat tire with improved riding quality performance at a normal traveling time while securing durability performance and steering stability at a runflat traveling time. SOLUTION: This runflat tire 1 is equipped with a reinforced rubber area 3 with an approximately crescent section at a side wall 4. The reinforced rubber area 3 comprises a first reinforced rubber layer 31 arranged on the tire inner side of a carcass layer 8 with a hardness of 65-100°, a second reinforced rubber layer 32 which forms the tire outer side of the first reinforced rubber layer 31, arranged on the tire inner side of the carcass layer 8, and set lower than hardness of the first reinforce rubber layer 31 by 5-55°, and a third reinforced rubber layer 33 with a hardness of 75-100°arranged between a main body 8a and a folded part 8b of the folded carcass layer 8 at a bead part 6. The end of the carcass layer 8 folded at the bead part 6 extends in a tire radial outer direction in a manner to cover the third reinforced rubber layer 33. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
