PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a saddle-stitched book, which enables the saddle-stitched book with many pages to be simply manufactured by using glue alone without the use of any fittings. SOLUTION: A primary section is formed by providing a glue line along a longitudinal line which passes through a middle point between mating surfaces when a sheet is horizontally folded in two; a secondary section is formed by providing a glue line along a longitudinal line which passes through a middle point between mating surfaces when the primary section is vertically folded in two; after the many secondary sections are prepared as unit sections, a glue line is provided for adhesion in a place, corresponding to the glue line, on overlap surfaces of the unit sections; a twofolded part is formed from a glued joint; and other folded parts are cut except for the twofolded part, so that the respective pages can be separated from one another.
