PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable band saw machine capable of easily and exactly performing a cutting work when cutting a cutting material (contour cutting) on a guide table by eliminating troublesomeness of adjusting projecting amount of the guide table from a cutting edge of a band saw according to size/shape and installation state of the cutting material, and standing and fixing the portable band saw machine by a stand, etc. SOLUTION: A groove 4a parallel to a cutting direction is provided in a saw wheel base 4. A sleeve 10 is engaged with the groove 4a parallel to the cutting direction to be reciprocatively slidable. The guide table 9 is fixed to the sleeve 10 by a bolt 11. An elastic body 17 is provided between an upper end 4b of the groove 4a and the sleeve 10. The guide table 9 guides the cutting material 16 when cutting the cutting material 16, is provided to be reciprocatively slidable in the cutting direction and is pressed to the cutting edge side of the band saw 6 by the elastic body 17 via the sleeve 10.
