PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing traditional Korean roof tiles with a dark grayish blue color by changing sintering temperature, color-forming temperature and spray pressure of propane gas. CONSTITUTION: The dark grayish blue-colored roof tiles are produced by the following steps of: mixing clay as a main material, white clay and silica; forming mixtures to a shape of roof tile and drying; sintering dried tiles at 1090-1150 over 1 hr; cooling to 950-980deg.C and spraying propane gas with a 400-500mmAq pressure for 5-10min at high temperature(950-980deg.C) to adsorb uncombusted propane gas on roof tiles, which causes roof tiles to turn dark grayish blue.
