<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for letting a user be unworried about a waiting time taken for writing data to a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A server 120 transmits data in a form of mixing performance data for play-back into performance data for storage. A transmitter-receiver 106 of a data processor receives the data transmitted from the server 120 via a communication network 121. A CPU 101 discriminates the kinds of the data which the transmitter-receiver 106 has received, and based on a result of the discrimination, the performance data for storage are written in a flash memory 104 and stored therein, and the performance data for play-back are transferred to a sound system 105 and played back.
