<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction and the shortness of lifetime caused by the temperature rise of an LDD (laser diode driver) and an LDU (laser diode unit) mounted on an optical substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The formation of an insulation part for interrupting heat conduction between an LDU mounted part and an LDD mounted part on the optical substrate reduces heat flow from the LDD side to the LDU side in particular. In addition, a circulation path for cooling liquid is provided on the optical substrate, and a pump mounted on a traverse chassis is made to circulate the cooling liquid to the circulation path to thereby prevent the temperature rise of the LDD and LDU. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
