<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a requested power in the reverse rotational direction surely to a drive shaft in a unit for converting the power from an internal combustion engine into a torque through a planetary gear mechanism and two motors. <P>SOLUTION: When a shift lever is operated to R range, a requested power P* being set based on an inputted accelerator opening Acc and a vehicle speed V are compared with a battery output limit Wout (S100-S120). If the requested power P* is larger than the output limit Wout, engine start is designated and a value obtained by subtracting the output limit Wout from the requested power P* is set as a requested power of engine Pe* (S170-S190). As the operating point of the engine, a target r.p.m. Ne* and a target torque Te* corresponding to the maximum r.p.m. Nm1max of a motor MG1 are set (S200). As a result, a requested power in the reverse rotational direction can be outputted surely to the drive shaft and energy efficiency of a power output unit can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
