<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device ensuring easy grasp of relationship between an operation button and functional information indicated in a display area. <P>SOLUTION: This display device is provided with n buttons 11 for selecting functions, a display part 13 for displaying the functional information related to the n buttons 11 in n display areas 12, a storage part 14 for storing coordinate data of the display area 12, data about a character of the function information, and an image signal, a computing processing part 15 for executing a function when the buttons 11 are pressed, and an on-screen signal output part 16 for outputting a signal setting the display area 12 to the display part 13.
