<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical frequency conversion device realizing satisfactory optical frequency conversion. <P>SOLUTION: When a first pump light is multiplexed together with input signal light by a first optical multiplexer 106, the resultant light is made incident in a first optical fiber 107 for optical frequency conversion to form a first optical frequency conversion light, only the first optical frequency conversion light is extracted by a first optical filter 108, a second pump light is multiplexed together with the first optical frequency conversion light by a second optical multiplexer 109, the resultant light is made incident in a second optical fiber 110 for optical frequency conversion to form a second optical frequency conversion light, and only the second optical frequency conversion light is extracted by a second optical filter 111, the change of an instantaneous angular frequency of the first optical frequency conversion light by time and the change of an instantaneous angular frequency of the second pump light by time are specified to be coincident with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
