PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control unit for an omnidirectional transfer truck capable of automatically moving the omnidirectional transfer truck to arbitrary directions in a target speed. SOLUTION: A drive control unit 6 includes drive motors 7a-7d for driving wheels 3a-3d of the omnidirectional transfer truck 1, motor control drivers 8a-8d, a drive controller 9, an input unit 10 for setting and inputting the target speed in three-degrees of freedom of the omnidirectional transfer truck 1, and rotating speed sensors 11a-11d. The drive control 9 obtains a target rotating speed of the wheels 3a-3d based on the target speed in three-degrees of freedom set and input from the input unit 10, and forwards an instruction value of this target rotating speed to the motor control drivers 8a-8d. The motor control drivers 8a-8d forward control signals to the drive motors 7a-7d so that actual rotating speeds of the wheels 3a-3d detected by the rotating speed sensors 11a-11d become the target rotating speeds.
