PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to specify a factor of a fault occurred in a built-in device equipped with a CPU. SOLUTION: When a fault occurs during executing a task, the device performs a task which issues a message indicating fault information, performs cue processing in a corresponding message queue and attaches an identifier specifying a partner to the message. When the message is received, the device performs a fault issuing task which issues a message indicating a procedure for accessing to a data recording medium, executes read/write access and mounting/demounting control for the data recording medium, and writes a message indicating the fault information to the data recording medium.
