PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer controller, electronic equipment and a data transfer control method for realizing improvement in processing efficiency. SOLUTION: This data transfer controller is configured to secure a plurality of pipe areas in a packet buffer 100, and provided with a buffer controller 80 which performs the access control of the packet buffer 100 and a transfer controller 40 which controls data transfer between the pipe areas and an end point. The transfer controller 40 performs processing to pause the data transfer between the pipe area and the end point, and the buffer controller 80 performs reconstruction processing including at least one of the erasure and addition of the pipe area and the change of the area size after the completion of the pause processing, and the transfer controller 40 resumes the paused data transfer after the reconstruction processing of the pipe area. The data of the pipe area before the reconstruction are copied to the pipe area after the reconstruction while the data are prevented from being erased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
