PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly and automatically perform image processing for the region of an image to be processed where a saturation correction is required. SOLUTION: An image processing system has an image processing means (3) which detects a colorless region, a region of low saturation, a region of low intensity and a region of high intensity in performing the saturation correction of the image to be processed, and performs the saturation correction for a region other than the detected region.
