PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an irreversible circuit device and a communication device that do not require a capacitor for matching and have superior consistency with a general amplifier. SOLUTION: An isolator 1 is roughly equipped with a metallic case which compriss a lower metallic case 4 and an upper metallic case 8 and a terminal substrate 3 mounted with a permanent magnet 9, a center electrode assembly 13, and a terminating resistance R. The center electrode assembly 13 has center electrodes 21, 22, and 23 arranged crossing one another at nearly 120°on the top surface of microwave ferrite 20 which is rectangular in plane view. Electric lengths of the center electrodes 21 to 23 are set to nearly 1/4 time as long as a wavelength. Here, the actual physical lengths are shorter than the length of a free space. In concrete, when a frequency is, for example, 926 MHz, the electric length of a 1/4 wavelength in the free space is about 80 mm and the actual physical lengths of the center electrodes 21 to 23 are 30 to 40 mm.
