COUNTING METHOD IN COUNT OF MICROORGANISMS, LIQUID MEDIUM AND MICROPOROUS MEMBRANE SUPPORTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and accurately count the number of microorganisms in a material to be examined. SOLUTION: The microorganisms can be accurately counted in a short time by collecting the microorganisms in the material to be examined on a microporous membrane 1 in a microporous membrane supporter 6 constituted of the microporous membrane 1 for collecting the microorganisms, a base 3 for holding the microporous membrane 1, and a ring 2, forming colonies 5 by culturing the collected microorganisms by bringing the back side of the microporous membrane 1 into contact with a medium 4 while keeping the capturing surface backward to stably prevail the medium components to the captured microorganisms to make the proliferation good, developing the color of the colonies 5 or subjecting the colonies 5 to fluorescent dyeing, and taking the resultant image by a CCD (charge coupled device).
