METHOD FOR DESIGNING DNA CODES USED AS INFORMATION CARRIER

A method for designing DNA which are set of information codes and are used as an information carrier in which given information is written in a given non-code area not including any DNA genetic information. Templates are so selected that the Hamming distances between the templates, between the shift sequences, and between the connecting sequences are over respective predetermined values when a DNA sequence of predetermined length is expressed by a bit sequence (template) in which G or C and A or T consist of O's and 1's. From among the selected templates, a template having a sub-word restriction of length m is selected. The thus selected template and a code word of a predetermined error correction code having a sub-word restriction of length m are combined to produce a set (s1) of base sequences corresponding to a unit signal for information transmission.
