PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a luminance difference due to keystone distortion indicating that an image which has to be rectangular is trapezoidally displayed on a screen. SOLUTION: An image processing circuit 2 of a projector includes: a means 2b for setting a correction value G with a luminance in response to an angle of a projected direction with respect to an external screen 101 when an image 3a displayed on an LCD panel 3 is projected onto the external screen 101 by utilizing light; and a luminance correction circuit 2c for correcting the luminance of the image 3a displayed on the LCD panel by each pixel on the basis of the correction value G.
