<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly transfer data associated with the design of an article between the origin of ordering and the designation of ordering of articles. <P>SOLUTION: The data format of drawing data available for a supplier is registered in a supplier database of an SCM server 100. The supplier performs access from an SCM terminal 200 to the SCM server 100 to download the drawing data. When receiving a request for the download of the drawing data, the SCM server 100 reads the requested drawing data, and reads the available data format from the supplier database, and retrieves a data format conversion table, and decides one data format whose conversion efficiency is the highest among the data formats available for the supplier. Then, the SCM server 100 converts the requested drawing data into the decided data format, and transmits the data format to the SCM terminal 200.
